Reply in minutes, not after lunch.
Say who the email is for and what it needs to do. The Assistant writes it in the right tone, with a clear ask. Or paste your own rough draft and have it made clearer. You can also forward an email to your private address and a drafted reply comes back to you. It is always yours to edit and send.
How it works
Pick write new or improve
Write New drafts from your notes. Improve Existing takes an email you already wrote and refines it.
Say what kind of email
Client Follow-Up, Opposing Counsel, Settlement Offer, Referral Outreach, Engagement Email or Demand Notice. Each one changes how the email is written.
Give it the context
Add the recipient and their role, a few lines on the matter, your name and the tone: Professional, Friendly, Persuasive, Concise or Formal.
Edit and send it yourself
Copy the email into your own mail. The Assistant never sends anything. It is saved in the firm's Recent emails.
Watch it work
Two emails written from notes, with the tone chosen, and one rough draft made clear. The cursor shows each step.

Two ways to use it
By hand
Open the Email Assistant, choose the kind of email and describe the situation. Good for emails you plan, such as a settlement update or a referral note.
- Six kinds of email and two modes
- Five tones, and five ways to improve a draft: more professional, concise, persuasive, friendly or clear and simple
- Saved in the firm's Recent emails
By email, without logging in
Each attorney has a private forwarding address. Forward a client or opposing counsel email to it, or set a mail rule that does, and a drafted reply lands in your inbox.
- It reads the email, decides whether it needs a reply, sorts it into one of the six kinds and drafts the reply
- An email that needs no reply, such as spam, is left alone
- It knows only what is in the email, so anything it cannot know is left in brackets for you to fill in
- The draft is emailed to you and saved in Recent emails, marked auto-drafted, and never sent for you
What it includes
Everyday emails run about 100 to 250 words. Demand, settlement and engagement emails run about 200 to 400 words. Every email in the demos above is a shortened sample so it fits the screen.
Client Follow-Up
Warm and plain: where things stand, what it means and exactly what happens next.
Opposing Counsel
Cordial and precise, written to leave a clear paper trail that protects your client.
Settlement Offer
States an offer, counter or acceptance clearly, with the terms you give it.
Referral Outreach
A short, courteous note to another professional who might send you work.
Engagement Email
Sets out the start of a representation: what you will do and what you need from the client.
Demand Notice
Firm without being inflammatory: what is demanded, why and by when.
Improve Existing
Paste what you wrote. It keeps your meaning and fixes the tone, clarity and structure.
Your name and tone
Choose how it signs off and how it sounds, every time.
Recent emails
The firm's drafts are saved in one list, including the ones written automatically.
How the quality is controlled
Never sent for you
The manual tool gives you text to copy. The automatic version emails the draft to you. Nothing goes to the other person until you send it.
Tone matched to the reader
Client emails are reassuring, opposing counsel emails are firm and exact, demand emails are assertive without being inflammatory.
One clear ask
Every email is written to have a clear purpose and say what is needed, so the reader is never unsure what to do.
Kept short
Everyday emails run about 100 to 250 words, and demand, settlement and engagement emails about 200 to 400, because clients and counsel are busy.
Brackets, not guesses
When it does not know a fact, it leaves a marked gap instead of inventing one, which matters most for emails it writes on its own.
Your review comes first
A draft is a starting point. You read it, change it and decide whether it goes out.
Set it up once. Emails sound like you.
The Assistant signs off with your name and uses your firm's details. A few settings shape every email.
Your name and tone
Choose how each email signs off and how it sounds: Professional, Friendly, Persuasive, Concise or Formal. For an existing draft, choose to make it more professional, concise, persuasive, friendly, or clear and simple.
Firm setup and AI Configuration
Your state and firm profile are on every plan. On Professional and Enterprise, administrators add the firm's own tone and context, applied to every tool.
A private forwarding address for each attorney
Every attorney and staff member gets their own address, on every plan. A drafted reply lands with the attorney whose address received the email.
How firms use the Assistant
Keeping clients informed
Plain-English updates that say where things stand and what happens next.
Opposing counsel
Extension requests, confirmations and scheduling emails that leave a clear paper trail.
Settlement offers
Offers, counters and acceptances stated clearly with the terms you give it.
Referral outreach
A short, courteous note to a professional who might send you work.
Starting a representation
An engagement email that sets out what you will do and what you need from the client.
Your inbox, handled in the background
Forward an email and a drafted reply is waiting for you, marked auto-drafted.
Aware of your state's deadlines and notices.
An email can create a record, so the Assistant works with your state in front of it.
Your state first
Emails apply your state's law first and say when federal law or another state's law governs.
Pre-suit steps and deadlines
Demand notices and settlement emails have your state's filing deadlines and required pre-suit steps in front of them, for every state and DC.
Kept up to date
The reference file is checked every month for new laws and court decisions, and fully re-verified every June and December.
The reference file is an aid researched from official sources, not an attorney's review. Confirm current law before you send a notice with legal consequences.

What happens to what you put in.
Client confidentiality is your duty, so the answers are written down in plain terms.
Not used to train AI
Our AI provider's terms prohibit using what we send to train its models. It may keep requests for up to 30 days for safety monitoring, then deletes them.
Kept apart by firm
Each firm's drafts, analyses and emails are visible only to that firm. Connections are encrypted, passwords are hashed, and two-step sign-in is available on every account.
Yours to remove
You can ask for deletion at any time. If you cancel, your data is kept for 30 days in case you come back, you are reminded before the deadline, and then it is deleted.

What firms ask before they start.
Does it send emails for me?
No. By hand it gives you text to copy into your own mail. The automatic version emails the draft to you. Nothing goes to the other person until you send it.
How do I forward an email to it?
Each attorney has a private forwarding address, shown on the Email Assistant page. Forward an email to it by hand, or set a mail rule in Gmail or Outlook that forwards the emails you choose. The address is yours alone and cannot be guessed.
What does it do with spam or emails that need no reply?
It reads each forwarded email first and decides whether a reply is worth drafting. Emails that need none are left alone.
Can it include facts from my case file?
It knows only what is in the email you forward or the context you type. Anything it cannot know is left in brackets for you to fill in, so it never invents a fact.
Is the automatic version available on the Core plan?
Yes. Forwarding an email and getting a drafted reply works on every plan. Forwarding a contract for review is a Professional feature.
What kinds of email can it write?
Client Follow-Up, Opposing Counsel, Settlement Offer, Referral Outreach, Engagement Email and Demand Notice, in five tones. Improve Existing takes any draft you paste.
How long are the emails?
Everyday emails run about 100 to 250 words, and demand, settlement and engagement emails about 200 to 400, because clients and counsel are busy.
How long does it take?
A few seconds for an email.
Is my firm's data used to train AI models?
No. Our AI provider's terms prohibit using what we send through its API to train models. The provider may keep it for up to 30 days for trust-and-safety monitoring and then deletes it. See Trust and security for the full picture.
Can several attorneys use it at once?
Yes, as many as your plan includes. Recent drafts, analyses and emails are shared across the firm, and each attorney has their own signature block and their own forwarding address.
What do I get in the free trial?
Seven days with no card. A trial includes Professional-level access and a shared pool of 100 AI actions across all tools, which is enough to run real matters through any of them.
What if the email is wrong or the tone is off?
Edit it, or ask again with different context or a different tone. A draft is a starting point, and you decide whether it goes out.
Try it on a real matter.
