Where Spellbook is stronger

  • Depth on contracts. It offers review with tracked redlines, drafting, comparison to industry standards, an assistant for questions, multi-document workflows, and playbooks enforced on every review.1
  • A Word-first experience. It works inside Microsoft Word and uses Microsoft account sign-in, so a firm can apply its Microsoft controls.2
  • Security statements a vendor file asks for. It shows a SOC 2 Type II badge, zero data retention agreements with two model providers, and a willingness to agree a business associate agreement with customers.2

Where Ramtek is stronger

  • Breadth. Besides contract work in Word, Ramtek covers drafting in twelve document types, an AI law assistant with sources, deadlines and a calculator, intake, email, firm analytics, and court orders read for deadlines.
  • A published flat price for the firm. Spellbook prices by the number of team members and quotes on request.
  • Plain statements of limits: no SOC 2 and no zero-retention arrangement today, and the provider's 30-day safety retention, written down where a vendor file can find them.

You want one tool for the rest of the firm's work as well as contracts, with a flat firm price, and you can work without SOC 2 or zero retention from us today.

The two do not exclude each other. A firm that does a lot of contract work could use Spellbook for that and Ramtek for the rest. See the AI readiness checklist.
