Where ChatGPT Enterprise is stronger
- Security assurance and administration. It lists SOC 2 Type 2 alignment, ISO/IEC 27001, 27017, 27018 and 27701, regular third-party audits, single sign-on, SCIM, role-based access controls and customer-managed encryption keys.2
- Data location and retention control. Eligible customers can choose where data sits at rest from ten regions, and qualifying organizations can set retention, including zero data retention on the API platform.2
- Breadth. It serves every team in an organization, not only legal, with models, tools and extensions that go well beyond documents.1
Where Ramtek is stronger
- Legal workflows come built. Drafting in twelve document types with your state's terms, a contract review with a playbook and a Word redline, deadlines with a calculator, intake, and court orders read for deadlines, where a general assistant needs you to build and maintain them.
- A published flat price for the firm, instead of a per-user quote.
- Law-specific safeguards: attorney-review reminders on every output, nothing sent or filed for you, statute links, an AI Activity Log with review marks, and plain statements of what it does not do.
Choose ChatGPT Enterprise if
You want one assistant across the whole organization, you need single sign-on, key management or a specific data region, and you can write the legal workflows, prompts and review policy yourself.
Choose Ramtek if
You want tools that already follow a law firm's workflow, at a price you can read, and you can work without single sign-on, key management or a choice of region.
A firm can use ChatGPT Enterprise for general work and Ramtek for client work. Either way, the firm needs its own AI policy: see the free AI readiness checklist. See the AI readiness checklist.
