How it works
Add your work
A firm admin uploads Word, PDF or text files, or pastes text, on the AI Configuration page, and labels each one: style guide, precedent, prior brief, executed contract, letter or email.
Draft as usual
An attorney drafts a document, writes an email, reviews a contract or builds a strategy memo.
Your voice and matching passages
If the library has a style guide, a short sample of it sets the voice. Ramtek also picks the passages that match the request, up to about 2,800 characters, and uses them as reference.
Review and keep what is good
The attorney checks the draft. A firm admin can save a reviewed draft to the library, so approved work builds the library over time.

Save approved work
After an attorney reviews a draft, a firm admin can save it to the library with one click.
Matching by words, not guesses
Passages are chosen by matching the words in the request. Nothing is sent to a search service.
Upload Word, PDF or text
Choose several files at once. A longer file is stored in parts, and each document is labeled by kind.
One extra action
A request that uses library text, including the style guide sample, counts as one extra AI action. A request with nothing from the library costs nothing extra.
The limits, stated plainly
Documents
Up to 25 documents per firm, 60,000 characters each, and 600,000 characters in total (about 120 pages). A longer file is stored in parts.
Files
Word (.docx), PDF and text (.txt) files up to about 9 MB each. A scanned PDF has no text layer, so paste its text.
What is used per request
About 2,800 characters of matching passages, plus a voice sample of up to 700 characters from the style guide.
Who can change it
Firm admins upload, save and delete. Every attorney at the firm can read the list.
AI actions
A request that uses library text counts as one extra AI action. A request with nothing from the library costs nothing extra.
What it does not do
- Learn from your documents or train a model on them. It only reads what your firm adds
- Add anything on its own. A firm admin uploads or saves every document
- Copy names, amounts or dates from one matter into another
- Read a scanned PDF that has no text layer. Paste its text instead
- Search case law or the internet. Use the AI Law Assistant for research
